Nobody 2: Bob Odenkirk Returns, But We Still Can’t Be Fully Relaxed About The Sequel?!

MOVIE NEWS – Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch Mansell in Nobody 2, which will be filmed from August to October this year…

The the long-awaited action movie sequel, Nobody 2, has just received a fascinating update! Bob Odenkirk is reportedly set to return as Hutch Mansell, with filming set to begin this August. According to Collider, Nobody 2 will be in front of cameras from August to October.

That means it won’t be long before we’re back in an explosive fight with Odenkirk’s humble assassin.

However, while this is clearly very promising, Collider also revealed that Nobody director Ilya Naishuller will not be returning for the sequel. Moreover, the studio is “still in the process of finding the perfect director” for the film, as well as “in the process of casting for the sequel,” which will once again be shot in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Given the upcoming shooting schedule, we can no doubt expect both directorial and casting announcements soon.

In the first Nobody, released in 2021, Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk plays the seemingly mild-mannered Hutch Mansell. He begins the film as an understated and neglected father and husband who quickly takes life’s humiliations and never fights back.

However, a home burglary strikes a match in Hutch’s long-latent rage, triggering his dormant instincts and sending him on a brutal journey that uncovers dark secrets and deadly abilities.

The film, directed by Ilya Naishuller, received rave reviews from critics and action fans alike. At 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, critics and audiences alike were delighted with Odenkirk’s action-hero debut.

The details of Nobody 2 are still unknown, but we can undoubtedly expect much more of what made the first part such a success, as the final moments of the first film foreshadow more trouble for Odenkirk’s mysterious accountant and his family.

Bob Odenkirk reunites with Nobody writer Derek Kolstad in new action film Normal

Not only Nobody 2 is being made. It was also recently revealed that Bob Odenkirk is reuniting with writer Derek Kolstad for a new action film, Normal. The synopsis of Normal has some similarities to Nobody. Odenkirk stars as another unlikely action hero. This time, he will play the role of Ulysses, a temporary sheriff described as “the substitute teacher of the sheriff world” who is “running away from the demons of his past.”
