Guardians of the Galaxy Star to Make New Terminator Movie, with Arnold Schwarzenegger?!

MOVIE NEWS – Chris Pratt has expressed interest in starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in a new Terminator movie…

Chris Pratt has already appeared on screen with several industry veterans, including Sylvester Stallone in Guardians of the Galaxy. But could he star in a Terminator movie alongside his father-in-law, the inimitable Arnold Schwarzenegger?

Pratt would undoubtedly be up for it, possibly in a new Terminator sequel if the opportunity arose.

Pratt has had quite a busy few years, starring in the latest Guardians of the Galaxy movie, acting in the streaming hit The Terminal List, and lending his voice to Nintendo’s Mario and Garfield, the comic book cat in new animated films. Pratt would also be happy if he could finally stand in front of the camera with Arnie. In a recent interview with TMZ, he hinted that he would jump at the idea of it being a new Terminator movie. Pratt said:

“Oh, man, that would be pretty great, wouldn’t it? Do you think people would lose their minds? Wow. Great! Okay! I’m in, sign me up!”

Will there be a new Terminator movie?

Fans would probably go crazy if Pratt and Schwarzenegger teamed up in a new Terminator movie. But the reality is that it probably won’t happen. Arnie returned to the franchise in 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate. However, due to heavy reviews and mediocre revenue results, the legendary actor claimed that he would not return for future films. Of course, such a statement does not mean much in today’s Hollywood.

The future of the Terminator series remains uncertain, although James Cameron is reportedly working on another instalment.

This latest film is still early in development, but the thought of another film filtering its way into the world suggests that Skynet really is something that just won’t die.

Meanwhile, the next Terminator project that is sure to arrive soon is the new anime series Terminator Zero. This has recently been expanded with the voiceovers of Rosario Dawson, nowadays known from Star Wars, Timothy Olyphant, Andre Holland and Ann Dowd. The eight-episode series will arrive on Netflix on August 29. It tells a new in-universe story in which scientist Malcolm Lee is chased by a futuristic robot after he developed an AI system to compete with Skynet before the events of Judgment Day.
