Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess: A Demo and a Collab with Another IP! [VIDEO]

An older Capcom IP that is not used much these days will also make a guest appearance in the cross-gen game that you can now try out.

The demo of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is already available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Steam, so this is no exception and you can get a taste of the game on all five platforms. To celebrate the demo, a special collaboration with Capcom’s 2006 action-adventure classic Okami is coming to Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, including exclusive Okami collaboration weapons and costumes, as well as a special Okami collaboration soundtrack! As a bonus, since Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is all about working together with the villagers you rescue, if players work together to accumulate 1 billion crystals and find 15 of the hidden Lucky Mallets, the Okami collaboration items will be included as a free update at launch for anyone who purchases a copy of the game.

Using a day/night cycle and creatively blending multiple gameplay genres from action-adventure to real-time strategy to tower defense, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will test players’ strategic and real-time decision-making skills. During the day, you’ll explore the village, purifying the “tainted” villagers, assigning them different roles and choosing where to place them to best protect the maiden Yoshiro. During the night, the sinister Seethe emerge to attack the mountain. Upgrade villager roles to gain more support and issue commands to villagers as you fight alongside them to defeat the Seethe and cleanse each village. Players can undo upgrades and reassign them to other roles, and even upgrade Soh with new attacks and abilities to customize their strategies. Thus, peace will once again reign around Mount Kafuku, and Yoshiro will be safe.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, which like Okami takes elements from Japanese mythology, will be released on July 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store; on Steam, Capcom says they’re using their own DRM, Enigma Protector), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
