BREAKING: Could Netflix’s Horizon Zero Dawn Series Be Cancelled?! Here’s Everything We Know!

MOVIE NEWS – Netflix’s Horizon Zero Dawn series, based on the hit PlayStation game, may have been cancelled, according to a recent report…

Last week, Rolling Stone reported on the “toxic” behaviour of showrunner Steve Blackman, who previously worked on The Umbrella Academy and now, among others, on Horizon Zero Dawn, which is being prepared for Netflix. No fewer than twelve workers made these claims. The reports made their way to Rolling Stone, who then looked into it and uncovered quite a controversy.

Blackman has categorically denied claims that he was a manipulative bully on set, but since the report surfaced, Rolling Stone has uncovered another sensation.

Because several of Blackman’s projects, such as the Horizon Zero Dawn prequel series, were allegedly blown up.

Can we hope for another Horizon Zero Dawn “redesign”?

The subject of a Horizon-based TV series has long been on the table. The rich and captivating story and beautiful world of the game series is a great starting point. The perfect title to adapt a live-action series. Netflix also had the opportunity to develop – until now.

According to Rolling Stone’s Cheyenne Roundtree – who reported on the original Blackman story – she has now finished everything related to the showrunner – including Horizon Zero Dawn and Orbital.

It is not known how “far” the team got with making the Horizon TV series. It is likely that development was still at a very early stage.

It is assumed that Sony will continue the production of the TV series with another partner. Especially given the recent success of other live-action adaptations. We are thinking here mainly of the award-winning series The Last of Us, which broke records and became known as one of the best adaptations in history.
