SkyShowtime has announced that the highly successful animated film Migration (Duck Legs) will be available exclusively on SkyShowtime from July 20.
The Mallard family has been in a bit of an ups and downs. While father Mack is content with his family swimming safely around their New England pond for the rest of their lives, mother Pam is eager to shake up their lives and show her children, teenage son Dax and daughter Gwen, the big world. . After a family of mallard ducks land on their lake and are told incredibly exciting stories about faraway lands, Pam convinces Mack to fly with the kids via New York to tropical Jamaica. As the Mallard family heads south for the winter, their well-laid plans quickly go awry. This experience inspires them to expand their horizons, open up to new friends, and take them further than they ever thought possible. Meanwhile, they learn more about each other and themselves than they thought.
Mike White – the Emmy® award-winning creator of The White Lotus and the writer of the script for School of Rock (Rocksuli) – writes the film’s script. The work features excellent comic voice actors, led by Levente Molnár, who is the Hungarian voice of Mack, the worried father, and Mikecz Estilla, who lends the voice of Pam, the bold, sharp-witted matriarch of the Mallard family. Dax, the confident and restless son of the Mallards, is voiced by Dániel Peregovits, and Gwen, the innocent and sympathetic daughter of the family, is voiced by Natália Tanka.
Csenge Szilágyi is the Hungarian voice of the teasing leader of a pigeon band in New York, Aranka Halász is the dubbing voice of Erin the heron, who is the first friend of the Mallards during their journey. Tamás Széles lends his voice to a Jamaican parrot languishing as a prisoner of a Manhattan restaurant and struggling with homesickness, and Gábor Seder voices the yoga leader of a mysterious duck farm. Gábor Harsányi excels as the voice of Mack’s rude, adventure-averse Uncle Dan.
Migration (Duckfoot) is a film about overcoming fears and being open to the possibilities of the world. The film is also considered to have a unique visual style among Illumination’s popular creations. It is characterized by sophisticated, expressionist graphics, Illumination’s distinctive, provocative humor and authentic emotional world, memorable characters and cheerful background music.
