Tom Cruise Knows No Impossible: He Closed the Paris Olympics with a Deadly Stunt! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Tom Cruise – as usual – ended the Paris Olympics with an epic, death-defying stunt…

Hollywood superstar and action icon Tom Cruise ended the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in his favourite way… putting his life on the line for our entertainment. The Mission: Impossible star jumped off the roof of the Stade de France to mark the handover of the Paris Olympics to the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

In a segment worthy of any of his outings as Ethan Hunt, Cruise jumped off the roof of France’s largest stadium. At the end of the jump, he landed quickly on the stage, where Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, presented him with the Olympic flag. But that wasn’t the end of it, as Cruise then hopped on his motorcycle and drove out of the stadium, with a pre-recorded clip showing the actor jumping from a plane and landing next to the Hollywood sign to mark the handover from Paris to Los Angeles.

You can see Tom Cruise’s latest stunt in the video at the end of the article.

The Hollywood legend’s latest death-defying stunt came after the actor was honoured. The acclaimed actor was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor (Légion d’honneur) by the French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati. Cruise was just one of the stars who appeared at the closing ceremony. Artists such as Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and H.E.R. performed. The closing ceremony was put together by artistic director Thomas Jolly and managing director Thierry Reboul. Several famous French bands, including Phoenix and Air, were in the spotlight during the Olympic finale.

Paramount Pictures pays tribute to Tom Cruise

After his performance at the closing ceremony, Paramount Pictures, the studio behind films such as Mission: Impossible and Top Gun: Maverick, paid tribute to the actor and thanked him for everything he does for the film industry.

“Today’s closing ceremonies brought our world another incredible moment from Tom Cruise, one that has us looking back on many before it. No matter the mission, he’s always accepted it.”

“We want to take this opportunity to thank Tom for all that he has done for our industry and art forms as both an actor and a producer. He’s consistently strived for the utmost competence across any and all skills that will better the story and experience for the audience.”

Cruise is currently filming Mission: Impossible 8. The film also stars Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff and Frederick Schmidt alongside Cruise as Ethan Hunt, who must once again face the massive, rogue AI known as “The Entity”…
