[GC 2024] Path of Exile 2: We Finally Know When We’ll Get to Play the Long-Awaited Action RPG! [VIDEO]

It turned out that Path of Exile 2 will be released in Early Access before the end of 2024!

Not many predicted a bright future for Path of Exile when it was released ten years ago. However, over time, sceptics became believers. The action RPG developed by Grinding Gear Games conquered the audience with its continuous growth. It had about 35,000 concurrent users at its launch. This seems like a tiny number compared to the fact that just a month ago, 229,337 players were simultaneously running the game on Steam! The conclusion was inevitable: the sequel, which everyone was waiting for, is being prepared, and which now has a release date.

Path of Exile 2 has been given an Early Access release date

Thanks to an appearance at Gamescom 2024, it was revealed that Path of Exile 2 will be released in Early Access on November 15, 2024. Unless the developers correct us, the announcement suggests that Early Access will be available on all platforms the game will be released on (PC, Mac, Xbox Series, and PS5). It should also be noted that the next-gen action RPG will be available in a “free to play” format, so anyone who wants to can try it out without making too much of a commitment.

Based on the first game’s success, hopefully, the sequel will take the Path of Exile franchise to new heights.

So far, Grinding Gear Games’ work looks promising. Feedback from those who had access to the various test phrases the title went through was good. All of this is remarkable considering it makes bold changes like switching movement to a “WASD” scheme.

We should expect more news about Path of Exile 2 soon. While we’re excited to learn the game’s release date, no more details have been revealed about gameplay or possible open and closed betas. Wondering if we’ll get anything else before Early Access starts on the aforementioned November 15th, 2024…
