TECH NEWS – According to rumors, the Cupertino-based company has put all its eggs in one basket for this year’s iPhone models, as one version will be produced in significantly greater numbers than the other three.

Apple’s focus is not on the two cheaper models, but on the two Pro versions, and the company believes that more of the Pro and Pro Max phones will be sold despite the higher price, but the new sizes and Apple Intelligence will keep the public glued to these two models. The Elec has reported that there will be a larger shipment of Pro models for the iPhone 16, and we may also be surprised to see which of the four iPhone 16s the company plans to sell the least…

Apple plans to produce 90.1 million units, but only 5.8 million of them will be the Plus, the second version! The basic 6.1″ (15.49 cm) iPhone 16 will make 24.5 million, and the 6.3″ (16 cm) iPhone 16 Pro will have 26.5 million units. But those three will be surpassed by the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which will have 33.2 million units! The top-of-the-line model will account for 37% of production, while the Plus will account for just 6%.

In other words, the two Pro models will account for two-thirds of all units (67%), surpassing the 60% of the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max pair. The 67% is calculated by the number of tetraprism lenses Apple has produced for the iPhone Pro models, another innovation compared to the two cheaper versions. Of course, there’s also the aforementioned Apple Intelligence, but it won’t be available at the launch of the devices, as it won’t arrive until iOS 18.1, and that won’t reach users until October.

In terms of design, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro devices will remain unchanged, and there is reportedly an ultra-thin device in the pipeline that will hit stores in early 2025. In any case, none of this is official yet.
