Purple Lamp Studios and THQ Nordic are taking a fair approach to a more modern version of a game that was released almost a decade and a half ago.
The developers and publishers have announced that they have created a demo of the game. It is now available on the PlayStation Store (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Microsoft Store (Xbox Series, Xbox One), Nintendo eShop (Nintendo Switch) and PC (Steam), so there are no exceptions: all target platforms got the demo of the modernized Epic Mickey.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed brings the magic of Disney to life in a vibrant 3D platformer. This beautiful remake sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey through the Wasteland, a realm of forgotten Disney characters. As Mickey, you plunge into a fantastical world and, armed with paint and thinner, shape your adventure and the fate of this alternate world. Every stroke of your magic brush matters! Use paint to restore beauty and harmony, or use thinner to alter your environment and uncover hidden secrets. Your choices affect Mickey’s fate and change the outcome of this artistic odyssey.
Meet various iconic characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first creation, as you travel between lands in Wasteland. Collect virtual Disney pins, complete creative challenges and uncover secrets as you explore classic platforming levels inspired by animated films and shorts. Originally conceived by Warren Spector and reimagined by Purple Lamp, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed uses state-of-the-art visuals and improved controls to breathe new life into a beloved classic. Experience new moves for Mickey such as dashing, ground pounding and sprinting. The game’s compelling story makes it an unforgettable adventure for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
Disney’s Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will be available on September 24th for PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Why can’t more people follow the demo approach of Purple Lamp Studios and THQ Nordic?
