Is a Daredevil-Deadpool-Spider-Man Crossover in the Works?! Charlie Cox Responds

MOVIE NEWS – Charlie Cox was asked about possible Spider-Man, Deadpool & Daredevil crossover plans…

The crossover potential of the MCU’s three major franchises is enormous. Imagine what it would be like if Spider-Man, Deadpool and Daredevil united in one team! The idea of teaming up the three legendary characters is not new, as Team Red already existed as a one-off comic in the late 2000s. However, the film universe has not yet witnessed the formation in any form. The closest he came was Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, who made a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In the not-so-distant past, the idea of Spider-Man and Deadpool being part of the MCU seemed like wishful thinking. But with Spider-Man joining in Captain America: Civil War and Deadpool entering in Deadpool & Wolverine, the possibilities were endless. Cox will remain as Daredevil in the Daredevil: Born Again series; of course, he was asked about a possible team-up. According to Screen Rant, at Rose City Comic-Con 2024, Cox finally hinted at the possibility of a crossover as cautiously as possible. He said the following:

“I’ll have to check my schedule!”

The idea of Team Red has been floated before with Daredevil

While not directly foreshadowing the trio of Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Daredevil, the appearance of Cox’s character in the latest instalment of the Spider-Man franchise left a lot of questions. The figure only appeared briefly in the film, but it influenced Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, who opened up in the 2022 issue of The Hollywood Reporter and raised the possibility of the red-clad heroes teaming up in other ways.

During the Daredevil & Wolverine press conference, we got a further taste of the trio. Ryan Reynolds, for example, has expressed his admiration for Holland’s work as the web-slinging hero. He stated that he would very much like to co-star with the character. (Not least so he could make fun of the boy…)

It is unclear whether the trio will actually have the opportunity to work together. However, all three will remain under the MCU umbrella. The director of Spider-Man 4 has been selected, Daredevil is back with the most brutal action ever, and Deadpool is on the lookout for blockbusters. Kevin Feige has already hinted that at some point in the future, they want to emphasise the “street heroes” so that at least a little teamwork can finally be realised.
