TECH NEWS – PS5 Pro will cost 800 euros and debut without a disc drive. Along with this, the console price would rise to 920 euros. And the bad news is that this supplement is already sold out in many stores…
It’s been two days since the PS5 Pro was announced; the release date, specifications and price of Sony’s next console are already known. This last factor is the most important for gamers, and indeed, the 800 euros price tag is the aspect that makes people think about whether it is worth buying the PS5 Pro. Added to this price is the fact that it will not include a removable disk drive, which will have to be purchased separately. Many people already know that it costs 120 euros and is starting to run out of stores worldwide.
Following the controversial announcement of the PS5 Pro, the removable disc drive is already out of stock at stores such as PSDirect and Amazon and at most retailers.
Sony’s announcement caused a stir for several reasons. One is the PS5 Pro’s high price, and the other is that it doesn’t include a disc reader. It is an all-digital console unless we invest 120 euros in this add-on until the release on November 7th. The community fears that speculation will begin as supplies dwindle.
While many are waiting to install the disc reader on their next console, it is believed that some users are looking to make a profit by reselling it to other gamers. On Amazon, we can find offers from individuals starting at 155 euros, which is a higher price than the 120 euros that the disc reader usually costs. It is a bit difficult to buy at the introductory price for now.
Refurbished PS5 instead of PS5 Pro?!
It was recently revealed that PlayStation is now selling refurbished PS5s at discounted prices. In Spain, for example, the PS5 Slim disc drive is available for 449 euros via the PSDirect website, while the digital version costs 50 euros less. According to Sony, a refurbished PS5 is “thoroughly cleaned, tested and ready for its new home, guaranteed 100% PlayStation quality”.
