Lords of the Fallen 2: New Details Are Here, and One Group of PC Gamers Won’t Be Happy!

It gained a huge fanbase in 2023, and now it promises even more dark fantasy and soulslike thrills in its next chapter. Lords of the Fallen 2 just dropped some exciting new details!

The creators at Hexworks and CI Games are gearing up for a big release in 2026, and the game will be exclusive to PC through the Epic Games Store. They’re aiming to expand the game’s reach to attract a broader audience.

The first Lords of the Fallen had a bumpy launch with some optimization issues, but it still built a solid following over time. Now, Hexworks and CI Games are looking ahead to Lords of the Fallen 2, which hasn’t been officially announced yet but will definitely explore more of that intense dark fantasy world. The developers are promising a sequel that’s “bigger and better” than the 2023 version.

CI Games recently shared a strategic document covering their plans from 2025 to 2028 (via Insider Gaming). In this, they confirmed that Hexworks is hard at work on Lords of the Fallen 2, with a projected release in 2026, and that it will be a PC-exclusive title available through the Epic Games Store. But the report also reveals some fresh features coming to the game. Here’s a breakdown of the key points from CI Games’ roadmap:

  • “It will be the next major installment in the Lords of the Fallen franchise, developed with Unreal Engine 5.”
  • “The game has received a large investment from Epic for PC exclusivity.”
  • “The game aims to be more accessible and appealing to both its current fans and a wider audience.”
  • “Expect gameplay improvements, more game modes, a new art style, and enhanced production values.”
  • “Co-op play with full ‘shared progression’ alongside the single-player campaign.”
  • “The game will be announced in 2025, with a major marketing campaign and significant promotional budget.”

Lords of the Fallen 2 will remain an Epic Games Store exclusive for the entirety of its product lifecycle. According to a binding agreement signed in June, the deal ensures that the game won’t appear on Steam or any other PC platforms.
