Created by former BioWare and Ubisoft developers, Eternal Strands is coming to PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass – a day one-release on the latter platform.
A fantasy adventure game where you have to fight colossal beasts? It sounds a lot like we’re talking about Monster Hunter. You may remember Eternal Strands, a third-person adventure game developed by the veterans of Ubisoft and BioWare. We haven’t heard from this title in months, but we’re happy to announce that it has arrived with a new trailer for the October 2024 edition of the Xbox Partner Preview.
Developer Yellow Brick Games unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Eternal Strands at the recent Xbox conference, where they announced that the game will be available on Microsoft’s popular Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
The exact release date is not yet known. But they have already revealed that it will come to PS5, PC and Xbox X Series X/S in early 2025. Based on what we saw in the trailer, it seems that the gameplay has been refined a lot, which is also visible in the magical abilities.
According to a recent post on Xbox Wire, Eternal Strands is an action RPG created by the same team behind Dragon Age and Assassin’s Creed that “allows you to combine spells (freezing a flying dragon’s wings so it falls to the ground, anyone?), in-depth crafting systems, and titanic, climbable bosses, it’s a beautiful combination already”, which sounds similar to Shadow of the Colossus.
