Remedy Entertainment has been working hard behind the scenes to bring you the remake of Max Payne 1 and 2.
SaudiGamer started this rumor, and since he has leaked it several times before, there might be some truth in what we read on Twitter… although it should be added that he hasn’t always been accurate, so it’s worth taking everything related to Max Payne 1&2 Remake with a grain of salt.
According to him, Microsoft managed to get the marketing rights for this Remedy project, so we’ll see the Xbox logo at the very beginning and end of the trailers. When? At the The Game Awards on December 12th (or December 13th if you’re in Europe)! In other words, there’s a chance that Max Payne could make an appearance at the last big event of the year. Remedy Entertainment is working with Rockstar Games on the games.

Remedy Entertainment and Microsoft have a long-standing relationship, with the first Alan Wake originally released for Xbox 360, and then there’s Quantum Break, which was an Xbox One exclusive about 9 years ago. It’s been two and a half years since Max Payne 1&2 Remake was announced back in April 2022, so it’s about time we saw and heard something new…
Remedy Entertainment is working on a number of projects. A sequel to Control was already hinted at in the Alan Wake 2: The Lake House DLC (we reported), and it won’t be published by Epic Games Publishing, but by Annapurna Interactive. A multiplayer spin-off of Control is also in development, and all of these will be set in a shared Remedy universe, so it’s no coincidence that the Alan Wake DLC hinted at Control…
None of this is official yet regarding Max Payne 1&2 Remake, but it wouldn’t be a big surprise if the game does indeed make an appearance at The Game Awards.
