Good News for Future Marvel Rivals Fans – Can We Finally Play at Our Own Pace?!

Marvel Rivals Battle Passes will not expire in the upcoming seasons, and you can play at your own pace to earn rewards…

Fans of “hero shooter” games are eagerly awaiting the release of Marvel Rivals. In just a few hours, you’ll be able to play one of the most surprising titles in the third-person shooter genre. If you’re interested in heroes, Marvel Rivals offers a very diverse catalogue that will expand over time with additional characters, cosmetics, and new game modes that will make the game even more fun.

Many titles today, especially “games as a service” games, have a so-called Battle Pass that must be completed before the end of the season to receive rewards. However, Marvel Rivals wants to do away with this rule. Now, players can play at their own pace and claim rewards whenever they want.

Marvel Rivals Battle Passes will not expire in future seasons, although new ones will be released from time to time, allowing players to choose which ones they want.

As announced in the official website’s monetization article: “Marvel Rivals is free to download and heroes, maps, and other gameplay elements are completely free. We will be charging for cosmetics that will provide only visual changes, with no stat bonuses or pay-to-win elements.” They state that “once you purchase a Luxury Battle Pass, you can continue to redeem its rewards in subsequent seasons if you don’t finish it during the current season.”

Marvel Rivals Battle Pass Details

Developer NetEase notes that the “S0” Battle Pass includes 5 costumes and their associated cosmetics and will cost €5. Future paid Battle Passes will be worth twice as much as this season, as they will offer twice as many items. “Since S0 is shorter, the Deluxe Battle Pass is half the price of future seasons and includes half the items,” they note. There will be a new season every three months, and there will also be a free Battle Pass for those who don’t want to spend money. This will include fewer cosmetics, but it will still offer interesting items and epic-quality costumes, if true.
