Publisher 2K and developer Visual Concepts have officially unveiled The Island, a brand-new multiplayer mode coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Players will explore WWE-inspired districts, engage in thrilling battles, and take on a variety of quests in this expansive online experience.

The Island is designed to provide a fresh, immersive multiplayer environment where players can explore, compete, and evolve their characters. Featuring several WWE-themed districts, the game challenges players to prove their worth to Your Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, as they fight for dominance.

The experience spans four distinct districts, each with its own atmosphere, challenges, and unique gameplay elements:

• Hero HQ – A stronghold dedicated to WWE’s greatest heroes, constantly under siege from villains aiming to seize control.
• The Arcade of Tomorrow – A futuristic zone blending nostalgia with cutting-edge technology and pop-culture references.
• The Temple of the Ancestors – A monumental tribute to the rich heritage of lucha libre wrestling.
• The Deadlands – A supernatural battleground shrouded in mystery, featuring eerie graveyards and haunted cathedrals.

Each district is home to its own unique arena, where players will face off against rivals in quest matches, competitive challenges, and ranked online battles.

Players can fully customize their MySUPERSTAR in The Island using the MySUPERSTAR Builder. This deep customization system allows players to fine-tune every aspect of their character, from appearance to wrestling style, as well as their in-ring abilities. Every choice affects their power level, from attribute caps to badge availability and Payback abilities. Up to four separate character builds can be created, allowing players to experiment with different playstyles.

Progression plays a key role in The Island. By completing quests, live events, and matches, players will earn XP and VC, which can be used to enhance MySUPERSTAR attributes, unlock new badges, and purchase additional customization items. Winning PvP matches earns rank points, while losing will result in a decrease in rank.

In addition to combat and progression, The Island features a variety of in-game shops, including the WWE Shop and real-world fashion brands, offering players exclusive gear to personalize their characters further. Once a customization item is unlocked in The Island, it becomes available for use in all game modes, similar to how Persona Cards function in MyFACTION.

The narrative-driven experience unfolds through quests, with WWE Superstars acting as quest-givers across different districts. Players can interact with these characters to embark on story-driven missions, track objectives, and uncover the mysteries of The Island. The game’s single-player campaign consists of five chapters, with the first available at launch and the remaining four arriving as free post-launch updates.

WWE 2K25 is set to launch on March 14, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
