Far Cry Meets Valheim and Fallout in an Upcoming Open-World FPS You Need to See [VIDEO]

If you’re on the hunt for an intense open-world shooter with survival mechanics straight out of Far Cry, Valheim, and Fallout, then you won’t want to miss this upcoming indie title.

Say what you will about Ubisoft’s signature Far Cry formula—whether you love it or feel it’s getting stale—there’s no denying that the franchise delivers solid FPS action with each new entry. Not to mention, they always look absolutely stunning.

That said, when Far Cry 7 finally drops, fans will undoubtedly be hoping for some meaningful innovation. Hopefully, the map won’t be packed with the same old outposts and radio towers. But hey, fingers crossed that the overpowered Honey Badger makes a comeback.

Then there’s Valheim, which has stood the test of time as one of the most successful open-world multiplayer survival games. Despite its initial release back in 2021, SteamDB stats show that it still maintains a healthy player base even today.

Meanwhile, Bethesda’s Fallout remains one of the most iconic post-apocalyptic RPG franchises ever, captivating players since its debut in 1997.

So, what game blends elements of Far Cry, Valheim, and Fallout? The answer is Dreadzone, an upcoming survival FPS from indie developer Eshed, which is already turning heads.

“Deadzone is a survival game set in a deadly quarantine zone. Scavenge for resources, craft tools, build shelter, and survive against dangerous animals, zombies, mutants, and other survivors,” reads the official Steam description. “Explore the zone where desperation drives everyone to do whatever it takes to survive.”

As of now, Dreadzone does not have a confirmed release date, but it will launch as an early access title on Steam. Hopefully, that means we’ll see it arrive sometime this year.

In the meantime, make sure to add Dreadzone to your wishlist on Steam so you don’t miss out on its early access launch and eventual full release.
