TECH NEWS – A certain feature of Apple’s budget smartphone doesn’t work as it should, and who knows what else is coming.
Apple launched the iPhone 16e almost two weeks ago, and the device has been well received by the community. Although it’s a significant upgrade from the iPhone SE 3 (at a surprisingly high price), the design is similar to the iPhone 14. Apple also included its own proprietary modem, the C1, which showed promising results considering it was the company’s first attempt at such a thing. To make matters worse, some users reported problems with Bluetooth when pairing the device with a speaker.
Complaints have also been posted on Apple’s forums, Reddit and Twitter. According to affected users, audio streaming from the iPhone 16e to a Bluetooth speaker is intermittently interrupted. According to users, the problem occurs when the iPhone 16e is connected to multiple accessories via Bluetooth at the same time. It’s not yet known how widespread this problem is, but many people have reported experiencing it. Some have also suggested that the update to iOS 18.3.2 hasn’t helped the problem either, although that update was released this week, so it’s a fairly recent update from Apple.
The US company is currently testing iOS 18.4, which is already in its third beta, but so far there is no indication that it will include a fix for the Bluetooth problem on the iPhone 16e. iOS 18.4 is expected to arrive next month with many new changes and bug fixes. If it doesn’t include the Bluetooth fix, we can only expect the Cupertino company to fix the bug later.
Since we haven’t heard much about this with the rest of the iPhone 16 family, this could be a new problem, and maybe Apple is trying to steer users towards more expensive models so they don’t have to save too much…
