Inzoi: Surprisingly Friendly Pricing for The Sims Rival!

The developers have revealed how the game will be expanded over the course of the year, which won’t cost a huge amount of money if you pick it up during Early Access.

Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim, the director of the life simulator genre Inzoi, took a rather modest stance on the game’s pricing. The early access version will cost $40, and all updates and DLC will be free until the full retail version is released! For comparison, The Sims usually charges that much for an add-on.

In any case, Kjun also said that four updates are planned for Inzoi throughout 2025. The developers know that development needs to be consistent, and they are committed to continuing development and sticking to the content schedule. In addition to the major updates, new clothing and furniture will be added to Inzoi every three months, but according to Kjun, this is not yet finalized and they will be in constant communication with players to listen to their requests and feedback. Kjun also said that starting with the May update, going to the gym will change Inzoi’s body shape, while the August update will also bring a cat-themed town, as International Cat Day is on August 8.

The first update will be released in May. It will include a modding toolkit (Maya, Blender), weight and muscle changes, codes for in-game cheats, relationship improvements, a new system adoption, improvements to the build mode, new furniture, improvements to Zoi creation, and new costumes. The second update in August will add ghost play, swimming and pools, more resources for editing the town, an AI build mode, freelance jobs, improvements to text messaging and skills, and new features for Zoi parents.

A third update will be released in October. Family Time is coming, shortcuts will be customizable, resizing of objects in build mode will be possible, new furniture will be coming, the user experience will be improved when moving around, there will be improvements when creating Zoi, and modding will be improved. A fourth update will be released in December. It will bring the memory system, moving cities, interaction reactions based on traits, another tweak to the build mode, new furniture, another improvement to zoi creation, modding improvements, new costumes, and indoor temperatures.

Inzoi will launch on Steam on March 28th.
