Tom Hanks’ Son Takes a Beating in Nobody 2

MOVIE NEWS – Unsurprisingly, Nobody 2 has received a strict R-rating in the U.S. for its relentless “bloody violence and strong language” — which, for fans of brutal action, is music to the ears.

Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch, the quiet suburban dad with a deadly past, ready once again to wipe out anyone who threatens his family. In the sequel, Hutch heads out on vacation with his loved ones – unfortunately, to a town controlled by a criminal organization. As things spiral out of control, his daughter gets harassed, and his son is badly beaten — from there, the chain of consequences is easy to predict.

This time, the local mafia is led by a character played by Sharon Stone, and her corrupt partner in crime is the town’s sheriff, who harbors ambitions of his own. That role is played by Colin Hanks, the son of Tom Hanks from his first marriage, who finds himself deep in the chaos. Connie Nielsen also returns as Becca, Hutch’s weary wife, who is once again exasperated by her husband’s relapse into violence. Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as Hutch’s former FBI agent father, bringing more dry humor and grit to the mix.

A first trailer has already been completed but has only been screened at CinemaCon so far.

Nobody 2 – theatrical release: August 21, 2025
