TECH NEWS – According to a rumor, Apple could introduce advanced display technology in a future iPad Pro model.

Apple reportedly plans to make the next generation of iPad Pro models with significantly smaller bezels than current versions. While the OLED iPad Pro was a major improvement over its predecessors, the company made little to no change to the size of the bezels. Despite the thinner design, the OLED iPad Pro still has noticeably thicker bezels compared to competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and OnePlus Pad 3.

According to Instant Digital, a well-known leaker, the bezels on the upcoming iPad Pro will be as slim as those on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra — but without the notch seen on Samsung’s tablet. As bezels shrink, Apple may integrate sensors directly into the display to eliminate the notch or the Dynamic Island entirely. The company is expected to use LG‘s chip-on-film (CoF) technology in future iPad Pro models, enabling thinner bezels across all sides. The M4 iPad Pro already has slightly smaller bezels than previous models, but the next version could push this even further.

However, these ultra-thin bezels likely won’t arrive anytime soon, as Apple only recently refreshed the iPad Pro’s design. The M4 iPad Pro models are already significantly slimmer — especially the larger 13-inch version, which is just 5.1 mm thick. The upcoming M5 iPad Pro, expected later this year, will mostly retain the current design, with only minor cosmetic updates. Notably, the Apple logo on the back will appear vertically when the device is held in landscape mode — a small but distinctive visual change.

The next iPad Pro is reportedly entering mass production in the second half of this month, suggesting it might launch sooner than expected, potentially alongside the M5 MacBook Pro. Earlier reports had indicated a 2026 release for the M5 iPad Pro, in line with Apple’s typical launch cadence.
