Two Point Museum: A Fantasy Twist with the DLC

Two Point Studios’ first paid DLC, Fantasy Finds, takes the museum management simulation in a slightly different direction. Developers have also added a brand new museum to the game, not as part of the DLC, but as a free update for all players. The new content is already available, and everyone can try a fantasy-themed taster before deciding whether to purchase the full DLC.

Late last month, Two Point Studios announced the DLC. It adds a dungeon full of treasures to explore and exhibit. While the presentation impressed the audience, one might have questioned the absence of a new museum scenario from the campaign, which would have rounded out the package nicely. Luckily for us, however, Two Point Studios had been planning to add a new museum all along. However, instead of being included in the DLC, it was included in the game’s free 4.0 update.

This museum, called Pointy Mountains, will appear at the end of Two Point Museum as a new finale, unlocked when you reach Curator Rank 7. The Pointy Mountains stand on the precipice of an icy crevasse, making it the largest museum in the game so far. In this scenario, players must discover the fate of a missing curator and unveil a new exhibit while expanding the museum and welcoming guests.

This isn’t the only free content, though. Two Point Studios is also opening part of Fantasy Finds for all players to try. This taster pack allows players to access the first three points of interest on the fantasy-themed DLC expedition map and recover six fairy tale exhibits. These exhibits can be placed among dinosaur skeletons and giant carnivorous plants. The taster pack will also introduce new guest types, including wandering goblins, as well as souvenir shop items, such as gnome T-shirts for your museum’s younger visitors. One fantasy expert and his various subclasses will also be added.

Two Point Studios stresses that this is not a demo and that you can keep everything you get from the first three points of interest. However, if you want to see beyond the third point of interest, you’ll have to pay for the full DLC, which is coming on July 17. Both the 4.0 update and the Fantasy Finds teaser are already available.
