Cyberpunk 2077: Big Changes in the 2.3 Update! [VIDEO]

CD Projekt RED (CDPR) and Virtuos have released a new update for the game, which is now available on multiple platforms.

Update 2.3 introduces brand new ways to explore the streets of Night City. Players can now sit back and let their vehicle take the wheel—simply pick or create a waypoint, enable AutoDrive, and travel hands-free to your destination. Night City’s leading driverless taxi service is now fully operational, letting you summon a Delamain cab, select a destination, and enjoy a chauffeur-driven ride (for a fair eurodollar fee, of course). With both transportation options, players can try out a range of cinematic camera angles, experiencing Night City from fresh new perspectives.

If you’d rather drive yourself, Update 2.3 also brings new vehicles—a motorcycle and three new cars, including the Yaiba Semimaru from the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic. These rides are unlocked by completing related quests.

Photo Mode has been massively expanded with new customization options and settings. Players can now adjust the weather and time of day for the perfect shot, and there’s a wider selection of NPCs, outfits, and poses. There are new stickers and frames, and you can now customize how NPCs look into the camera—giving you fine-tuned control over heads, eyes, and shoulders in any pose for even deeper creative freedom.

Beyond that, Update 2.3 brings in a host of technical enhancements: VRR support for consoles, AMD FSR 4, AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, Intel XeSS 2.0 support, and improved HDR settings.

The 2.3 update rolls out today, July 17, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and 16GB+ Apple Silicon Mac models. Nintendo Switch 2 will get the update at a later date. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were not listed by accident—the update is not coming to those legacy consoles.
