Hogwarts Legacy was so successful that it outsold Elden Ring in five weeks and became the best-selling game of 2023—no small feat. 2023 was a fantastic year for gaming, with the releases of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, among others. Hogwarts Legacy’s success demonstrates the game’s quality and popularity, despite its lack of recognition at The Game Awards.

In April, Hogwarts Legacy became available on the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, delighting wizarding world fans. However, if you’re a subscriber and haven’t started playing, you’ll want to do so as soon as possible. We recently revealed what’s leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in August. Despite Hogwarts Legacy not being included, your time on the subscription service could be coming to an end soon.
