Fatekeeper: Cataclysms of the Past, Cloaked in Fantasy [VIDEO]

Paraglacial and THQ Nordic have unveiled a new first-person action-RPG at the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase. Enter a beautifully handcrafted world where every ruin whispers the legacy of past cataclysms. Master both swordplay and sorcery, forging your destiny with relics, spells, and the choices you make in this immersive RPG. Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative, but the world is rich for exploration. From ancient battlefields and sprawling underground caverns to tranquil forests and crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards the curious with hidden lore, lost relics, and unexpected encounters.

Prepare to face a variety of foes, each with their own distinct attack patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Both skill and preparation are required for victory—dive into reactive melee combat, unleash precisely timed spells, and adapt your tactics as the situation demands. Your build is vital, but mastering how to use it is just as important.

Fatekeeper’s progression goes far deeper than mere surface stats: develop your character through meaningful choices in combat styles, attributes, and magical disciplines. Whether you prefer brute force, agile precision, or devastating sorcery, the game encourages a wealth of unique, viable builds. Discover, loot, and master a wide arsenal of weapons, armor, and artifacts. Personalize your gear, experiment with powerful combinations, and take down increasingly challenging adversaries. Every item counts—the right equipment can mean the difference between triumph and defeat.

Fatekeeper is taking a cautious path: Paraglacial’s game is currently planned only for PC, with the only official detail being an Early Access release set for the winter. How long it will stay there—or if it will eventually appear on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, or Nintendo Switch 2—remains a mystery for now.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
