Reanimal: The Shared Fear Is Not Coming This Year! [VIDEO]

Tarsier Studios unveiled Reanimal at last year’s Gamescom, but since then, we’ve only heard about it once—when it gained a new target platform. The original creators of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II are back, inviting players on a cooperative horror journey even darker than before. You’ll control a brother and sister who must descend into hell to rescue their missing friends. Exploring by boat and on foot, survival relies on teamwork and wit, as you try to escape a demonic island and the dark secret that follows you. The story emphasizes tension and thick atmosphere, as the two orphans search desperately for hope and redemption in the bleakest of circumstances.

Explore a fascinating yet frightening world, where the main path is just one fragment of a shattered narrative. Along the way, you’ll uncover mysterious locations, each with its own unique story. Tarsier Studios’ signature visual style returns with a fresh lineup of twisted monsters and broken, resilient child characters. The children’s troubled past inspired both their own designs and the monsters that now torment them. No one should have to go through hell alone: Reanimal is fully playable in solo, local, and online co-op, using a shared, directed camera designed to maximize claustrophobia and tension.

Until now, the release date for Tarsier Studios’ new project was unknown (they’re no longer involved with the Little Nightmares IP—its third entry arrives this fall from a different studio, as we’ve previously reported). Reanimal is now scheduled to launch sometime between January and March 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. THQ Nordic continues to play it close to the vest: this is just another example of how most of their games seem to surface only once a year, and then disappear again.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
