Formula Legends: A Lighter Cross-Gen Arcade Racing Game [VIDEO]

The game from 3DClouds comes with a demo, though you’ll have to wait a little longer for the trial version of the arcade racing game in some places.

Formula Legends is a racing game that perfectly blends the accessibility of arcade racers with the strategic depth of top-tier motorsports. Tire wear, fuel consumption, rubbered-in tracks, damage simulation, and changing weather are just some elements that make the moment-to-moment gameplay challenging, unpredictable, and, above all, entertaining.

Race faithful reimaginings of open-wheel legends on circuits inspired by iconic fan-favorite locations. Built out of a genuine passion for motorsports, 3DClouds developed Formula Legends for both existing racing game enthusiasts and those stepping into the cockpit for the first time.

Jump behind the wheel of cars that span decades of motorsport history. Sixteen unique models, each with seven distinct liveries inspired by legendary teams, add up to 112 vehicles. Race on fourteen tracks inspired by classic racing locations, each one evolving over time. From sun-drenched marinas to sweeping climbs, these tracks combine nostalgia with a modern twist.

Rain-soaked asphalt, strategic pit stops, and shifting eras mean victory requires more than just speed. Refine your racing skills—from battery management to slipstreaming—and chase that perfect lap.

Every era has its heroes. Over 200 fictional drivers, inspired by real icons, are featured, each with their own helmet design and unique abilities: tire whisperers, rain masters, and pit-stop strategists. Their strengths may be the key to your victory.

In Story mode, you can relive defining moments in Formula 1 history. Compete in era-spanning championships, master legendary cars, and carve your name into the annals of racing. Create custom events and championships, climb the global leaderboards in Time Attack mode, and customize your car with mod support—liveries, helmets, and even sponsor banners trackside.

“Formula Legends has evolved significantly since we announced the game earlier this year, and this new demo is another opportunity for us to learn and further polish the experience as we ramp up for release. Formula Legends is a passion project for our entire team—every one of us is a motorsport fan, and we know that anyone who shares that love will cherish their time with our game,” wrote 3DClouds CEO Francesco Bruschi in the press release.

The Formula Legends demo is now available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG). The Nintendo eShop will get the demo on August 14. The full game launches September 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at a price of €/$20.
