Rogue Factor and Nacon are taking a bold approach to pre-release marketing with Hell Is Us, releasing a free 16-page comic book that takes place directly before the game’s events.
Hell Is Us transports players to Hadea, a mysterious fictional nation isolated from the world and torn apart by a deadly civil war. The protagonist, Remi, was born in Hadea but smuggled out by his parents as a child. Now, as a peacekeeper returning on a mission, he sees this as his chance to uncover the truth about his origins and the reasons his parents were forced to abandon him.
Alongside this personal quest, Remi faces the mystery of the Calamity, a strange phenomenon that spawns eerie creatures resembling ancient monuments and gravestones across the land. These unsettling beings pose a constant threat throughout his journey.
The game also invites players to explore ancient, forgotten dungeons scattered throughout Hadea. These are not just optional side activities—they form a vital part of the adventure, offering deeper insight into the nation’s troubled past and delivering memorable challenges and gameplay moments.
Mystical Dungeons and Climactic Battles
Each dungeon presents its own unique atmosphere, challenges, and meaning. Players must use logic, keen observation, and combat prowess to progress. Every dungeon culminates in a climactic confrontation that reveals long-hidden truths about this enigmatic land.
Hell Is Us launches on September 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. A demo is already available on consoles, letting players sample Rogue Factor’s dark creation right now. On top of that, Nacon has released a free 16-page comic book on its website as a narrative prelude to the game.
