Lost Rift: People Can Fly’s Project Is Finally Launching Soon! [VIDEO]

After several cancelled projects, the Polish studio People Can Fly finally has good news: Lost Rift is arriving in Early Access on PC on September 25, bringing a wealth of fresh content and updates.

The Early Access release includes more than 10 hours of new narrative PvE gameplay. With the anomaly walls around the island gone, players can discover new quests, enemies, and secrets. You can survive solo or in co-op teams of up to five, gathering resources, crafting weapons and armor, and preparing for high-stakes PvPvE expeditions where everything must be risked to secure rare loot.

The game also offers a survival sandbox mode with tile-based base-building mechanics. Players can build shelters that serve as hubs for crafting, repairing, and upgrading gear to boost survival odds. Multiple biomes—jungles, beaches, stations, and outposts—each present unique opportunities and challenges.

Freedom and Risk in Survival

Lost Rift is a high-stakes first-person survival shooter adventure that blends base-building, cooperative PvE, and intense PvPvE encounters. Designed for solo or up to five-player teams, the game lets you explore a mysterious archipelago where every decision can alter your fate. You wash ashore at Pioneer’s Landing, and must harness the island’s flora and fauna to survive and prepare for dangerous expeditions.

The upcoming Early Access release of Lost Rift is a significant milestone that reflects our team’s hard work and dedication to providing an enjoyable new type of first-person survival adventure. We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from the community, and we can’t wait to share all the major content updates we have planned once the game goes live on September 25,” wrote Laurent Malville, the game’s creative director, in the press release.
