Loric Games will launch the title it first announced last April into Early Access later this year, signaling steady progress – and giving players an early chance to build floating fortresses among the clouds.
Ever wanted to live aboard an airship? Now you can. The serene skies of Elysium are as beautiful as they are deadly: build your own floating stronghold, recruit a crew, and battle land- and skyborne mechanisms in a secret-laden paradise that would rather push you out than let you stay.
In this enchanting world, ancient machinery coexists with calm heavens and sweeping vistas. You’ll venture forth in airships of your own design. Your fleet isn’t just transportation – it is your base of operations for hauling supplies and crafting materials, and your platform for aerial combat against hostile armadas.
Play solo or in online co-op with up to six players as you uncover the mysteries of a forgotten paradise where soul-powered clockwork beasts lurk. Gather resources, craft tools and contraptions, grow stronger, and fight to survive across fractured biomes. Your airship is home, workshop, and war machine all at once: customize every component, expand your fleet, and upgrade weapons – from lumbering fortresses to nimble raiders, your designs decide whether you claim glory or splinter into scrap.
The Elysian skies are far from empty. Face the Heron faction, swarms of flying mechanical monsters, hostile towers, and an armada of airships bent on your destruction. Level up, unlock new abilities, and craft gear and parts to turn a fragile skiff into a floating fortress for you and your friends.
“Echoes of Elysium has been a dream project for us — a chance to create a boundless, vibrant world that feels truly our own. We wanted players to experience the freedom to build their own fleet, chart their course through the skies, and make the journey their own. You can take to the clouds alone or team up with friends; every decision opens a new story. That spirit of discovery drives us,” wrote Loric Games co-founder Ray Soto in the press release.
The Early Access version includes the game’s core systems and mechanics. You can explore a large region made up of procedurally generated islands, progressing through crafting and combat to unlock tier-2 weapons, tools, and airship parts, culminating in a boss encounter. Over a planned 12–16-month Early Access period, the game will expand with additional biomes, recipes, higher-tier ship parts, narrative content, and more on the road to 1.0.
Echoes of Elysium launches on PC via Early Access on December 4.
