Hell Let Loose: Vietnam: Gameplay from 50v50 Jungle Battles [VIDEO]

Expression Games and Team17 showed us what kind of gameplay to expect from Hell Let Loose‘s Vietnamese excursion.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features six maps set in Vietnam, including dense jungles and more open battlefields. This variety allows for different approaches to each match. Players can fly helicopters, deploy teams to different points on the battlefield, and take over patrol boats in small-scale naval battles. North Vietnamese forces can also use a tunnel system to move around the maps, launching surprise attacks and gaining strategic advantages over American troops.

The trailer did not reveal a release date; the only official information is that the game will be released sometime in 2026. However, the press release for the trailer makes it clear that this footage was created using the game’s engine. Hopefully, this glimpse into the gameplay means an official release date is near. Expression Games has made it clear that it will continue to support Hell Let Loose even after Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is released, although it’s worth noting that there is currently no indication that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will be available in early access like its predecessor, Hell Let Loose.

Regardless of how development progresses, it’s uncommon for developers to tackle the Vietnam War of the 1960s and 1970s. That’s why it was a bold move for the developers to tackle this topic. The “50v50” in the title is no coincidence; two teams of fifty players will battle each other, so we can expect intense combat.

Expression Games seems ready to release the full 1.0 version of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. Hopefully, when it is released, it will feel like a complete product. The game is being developed for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Could a Nintendo Switch 2 version be in the works?
