Supergiant Games is bringing the title to more platforms after its strong results on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch. On April 14, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series players will finally get their turn as well.
Supergiant Games’ first-ever sequel builds on the best aspects of the original godlike roguelike dungeon crawler and shapes them into a fresh, action-heavy, highly replayable experience. The game is rooted in the Underworld of Greek mythology and in its deep ties to the dawn of witchcraft. As the immortal Princess of the Underworld, players explore a broader and deeper mythic world and confront the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus at their back in a story that keeps unfolding through every setback and every triumph.
Players can infuse their legendary Weapons of Night with ancient magic so that nothing stands in their way. They can grow more powerful through the blessings of more than a dozen Olympian gods, from Apollo to Zeus, while enjoying nearly limitless ways to shape their abilities. The game also features dozens of fully voiced, larger-than-life characters, including many new faces and a few familiar ones. Through new interactions, players can grow closer to them and experience a wide variety of unique story events depending on how their journey develops.
New locations, new systems, new challenges
As players descend again and again into the ever-changing Underworld, they will encounter new locations, challenges, upgrade systems, and surprises. They can uncover the mysteries of the Arcana Altar, tame witchy familiars, and gather reagents with the Tools of the Unseen in order to move closer to their goal. Thanks to the different permanent upgrades and the return of God Mode, you do not have to be a god to experience what Hades II has to offer. If you do want more punishment and bigger rewards, however, the game also lets you take on escalating challenges and prove just how divine you really are.
Rich atmosphere and storytelling remain some of Supergiant’s greatest strengths, and once again they are combined with responsive action. The vivid hand-painted environments, smoother real-time 3D character work, and striking original score bring this mythological world to life. Hades II first launched in early access on PC on May 6, 2024, followed by its full release on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch on September 25, 2025. It will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on April 14, 2026.
