[GC] The developers of Lords of the Fallen have officially announced their new game

Although we have already known about that the German developer team Deck13 is already working on a new game after Lords of the Fallen, they have waited until Gamescom to officially reveal their latest title, which will be released by Focus Home Interactive.

This is The Surge, which will be an action-RPG with a release date set to 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Going by the first artwork image, one of the areas in the game might be a really abandoned train station, which has been retaken over by mother nature. Not surprising, because the game’s story will be on a really dystopian Earth, which is on its last legs.

The cities are overpopulated, the citizens are aging rapidly, the environmental diseases are rising. As technology improved, humans ended up being less useful than robots and they ended up losing many jobs, forcing them to use exoskeletons to improve their efficiency.
Deck13 promises an innovative combat system, an original character development system with modular upgrades. We’ll see about how these will end up two years from now.
