The monthly update for the middle and top tiers of PlayStation Plus is coming soon, but will there be more big name titles this time, or will Sony continue to gouge subscribers?

For PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, the game catalog will feature the following new titles The Devil in Me (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Dead Island 2 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Firefighting Simulator The Squad (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Gris (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Overpass 2 (PlayStation 5), Return to Monkey Island (PlayStation 5), Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands (PlayStation 4) (returning title, previously available on PlayStation Plus), Tour de France 2023 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) and Two Point Campus (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). There’s also a PlayStation VR2 title, The Last Clockwinder, if you’ve invested in Sony’s latest generation VR headset.

For PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, there are a couple of new games in the Classics catalog. The headliner is Dino Crisis: originally released on PS1, this Capcom title features higher resolution (they call it up-rendering), rewind, custom video filters, and quick saves. The new game for this month is Siren (or Forbidden Siren), originally released for PS2, which also features higher resolution, rewind, quick saves, and custom video filters. There’s also a game for PlayStation 4 called R-Type Dimensions EX.

PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will have access to the following games from October 15th. The problem, as always, is Sony’s inability to be honest on the PlayStation Blog about which titles are about to leave the service. In fact, Microsoft is no saint, but when they update the Xbox Game Pass game lineup twice a month, they always honestly disclose what they are about to remove from their system.

But at least Dino Crisis is getting some attention.
