Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Activision’s Got a Big Plan – Can It Succeed Before Launch?

Treyarch wants the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to be hack-free for a satisfying gaming experience.

Call of Duty multiplayer matches, especially in titles like Warzone and others, are constantly spoiled by the presence of hackers. This will ruin the experience for many users who will not be able to enjoy the shooting game. With each new release, the community is on the lookout to prevent cheaters from harming the game. In the case of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision is trying to avoid this with a very ambitious, fast and, according to them, effective plan.

Activision has released details on its official website about an anti-cheat patch called Ricochet, which would have mistakenly banned thousands of players unfairly. While these users have had their accounts restored, Activision has stated that they are doing everything they can to quickly weed out the hackers, explicitly mentioning that they want to do so within an hour of starting the game. This measure, called “Action Time”, will be key to enforcing the bans.

Activision wants to kick hackers out of Black Ops 6 in less than an hour

With the tool in question, it will be possible to detect and ban cheaters in record time, the aim of which is to minimize the impact of hackers on games. The first beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has already been tested, and the results are promising. They mention that the hackers didn’t get to play much before they were kicked out.

In the second playable test, the pre-ban limit was reduced to five games, and there was a case where 25% of hackers were banned after just one game, reports The Gamer. The company reports that they have managed to ban more than 12,000 players using third-party software. These figures reflect improvements in fraud prevention despite previous failures. However, the ultimate test is yet to come when Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS5 and PS4.
