Could This Hogwarts Legacy Content Have Secretly Been Cancelled?! Fans Don’t Understand Why [VIDEO]

Many fans are sad that the Hogwarts Legacy documentary has probably been cancelled…

Hogwarts Legacy fans are still loving the Harry Potter-inspired RPG, almost two years after its release. However, they agree that they wish there was more of it. With developer Avalanche Software apparently busy with the second instalment, it seems that several planned content and expansions have been dropped from the agenda.

The game has a sizeable player base for a single-player game since its release in early 2023, despite fans clamouring for a Christmas update and more content in general.

However, as one user recently pointed out on r/HarryPotterGame, there was indeed more Hogwarts Legacy content that we should have gotten over a year ago.

“So… was The Wizardry Behind Hogwarts Legacy cancelled or something?” they asked.

“It was supposed to be released last year. I have a feeling it was abandoned and we’ll probably never see it complete. It’s a pity because I was very curious to take a peek at the process behind the world building.”

The Wizardry Behind Hogwarts Legacy was supposed to be a behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the game. A trailer posted to the official YouTube channel last September (see below) revealed that there would also be a full-length version, featuring “insight and deep dives into the creative process from the Avalanche Software team.”

However, it’s been over a year since the announcement, and we still haven’t seen the promised film.

“My thinking is they got more ideas for the sequel and definitive DLC so they started on it instead,” one player suggested.

It’s unclear why the film hasn’t been released, and whether it’s been delayed or canceled altogether. However, it would have been nice to see the process behind the 2023 best-selling game.
