The father of the game series has cheered up fans by revealing when the Borderlands 4 trailer will be released despite the news embargo…
Good times are coming for fans of the Borderlands franchise. Gearbox’s looter shooter franchise is in good health despite the failure of the Borderlands movie. Development of the fourth part is in full swing, about which we currently know very little apart from a teaser trailer shared a few months ago. If you are craving more and more details about Borderlands 4, then we have good news.
Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox and the father of looter shooters, noted on his X/Twitter account that he is “cooking up a new Borderlands 4 trailer and it’s badass af.” We don’t know the date yet, but it wouldn’t be unusual if we could see the new material at The Game Awards 2024, hosted by Geoff Keighley, on December 13 at 1:30 AM. “Latest render is knocking me out,” he continues.
Yet it seems he shouldn’t have talked about it. “I CAN’T WAIT TO RELEASE THIS F’ING TRAILER!” he notes in another post. “I don’t want to shit on the publishing and the comms team. They are pros and know what they are doing and my nonsense can mess up plans and deals and shit,” he writes, probably jokingly.
All we know about Borderlands 4 is that it will deepen the “RPG side” of the game.
One player has already tried Borderlands 4
A few weeks ago, we reported that a terminally ill player asked Gearbox if he could play Borderlands 4 and received a quick response from the CEO that he would make it possible. A few days later, we learned that this gamer had made his dream come true and tried the game. Caleb McAlpine said: “We got to play what they have for Borderlands 4 so far and it was amazing. I don’t know if I will be around when the game comes out but I just want to say thank you to all of you for all of your love and support and for helping in making this happen. It truly was an amazing experience and it was just awesome,” he wrote on Reddit.
