A week before release, Konami finally published the launch trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It’s five minutes long – usually, launch trailers are never meant to be this long. However, Hideo Kojima seems to have given all into this last video (he personally edited these videos, nobody else knows his games better than him after all), especially if this is really going to be his magnum opus, his final Metal Gear game.
The trailer has two parts: the first one takes us back all the way to 1998, to the first Metal Gear Solid game: all five main episodes are showing up in this segment, also proving the huge technological improvement since the first PlayStation console. The second half obviously represents The Phantom Pain, but we would like to warn you, so this is why we will use capital letters in the following sentence:
WARNING, THE TRAILER CONTAINS SPOILERS – WATCHING IT MIGHT SPOIL SOME OF THE SCENES FOR YOU. We warned you! There’s not much time left until September 1, which is going to be a holiday for the Metal Gear-fans…
Amazing video!
