Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge: Beating Its Rival Camera-Wise?

According to leaks, the South Korean company’s smartphone will be so powerful in terms of camera that it could even overtake Apple’s solution.

One of the most anticipated devices from Samsung this year is its ultra-thin phone, the Galaxy S25 Edge. Although it was first speculated that the device would be released in April, this did not happen due to some internal reasons that involved management reorganization and strategic considerations. Therefore, the South Korean company has postponed the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge to May. Rumors have long been circulating about the phone’s modern design, good performance and increased battery capacity, with an official database now suggesting that the upcoming device has been determined to be a threat to the iPhone 17 Air due to its camera performance.

A regulatory listing has revealed the camera status of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. It seems that there’s more to the phone than just a slim profile and premium design, so it’s no coincidence that it could be a more expensive device. The leaked database entries confirm previous speculations about the S25 Edge’s camera system. The primary camera is expected to be the same as in the S25 Ultra: 200 MP, with a 1/1.3″ sensor, and should be able to deliver high-quality images and details. The secondary camera will reportedly be a 12 MP, 1/2.55″ sensor, close to what we’ve seen in the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.

However, the Galaxy S25 Edge may not come with a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and may lag behind the competition in terms of wide-angle performance. Earlier speculations suggested that the ultra-slim phone will come with a selfie camera and a 1/3.2″ S5K3LU sensor. The primary camera is said to be exceptional and could even outperform the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Google Pixel 9 in terms of Camera Score rankings.

Considering the slim profile of the device, the camera capabilities packed into the Galaxy S25 Ultra model in the Edge will make the device very appealing to vloggers and photography enthusiasts alike.
