TECH NEWS – While AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs haven’t yet appeared in the Steam hardware survey, there are regions where demand is already peaking…
The Radeon RX 9070 XT might just be AMD’s most successful graphics card in recent memory. It continues to lead sales in some regions, particularly in Germany. Despite selling well above its MSRP, there’s virtually no competition in this segment aside from the even pricier Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. According to fresh data from German retailer Mindfactory, 355 units of the RX 9070 XT were sold in just one week. The card has previously led the charts and continues to do so even after the launch of the RTX 5060 Ti. While it’s still early to predict future trends, the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB is performing well just two weeks into its release.
Mindfactory is one of the top PC hardware retailers in Germany. Although its data doesn’t cover the full market, it offers a useful snapshot of what consumers are currently buying. Unsurprisingly, the 8GB RTX 5060 Ti is receiving almost no attention—it hasn’t even cracked double digits in weekly sales, and it still hasn’t after two weeks. Meanwhile, over 250 units of the 16GB RTX 5060 Ti have been sold since launch. Perhaps Nvidia needs to stop skimping on VRAM, because in 2025, 8GB barely cuts it even for 1080p gaming…
Sales figures and market direction
The 16GB RTX 5060 Ti is clearly outshining the rest of the RTX 5000 lineup, which makes sense given how expensive the RTX 5070 and higher-tier GPUs are. Interestingly, the RTX 5080 is doing well with 135 units sold this past week, but other RTX 5000 models are struggling.
Meanwhile, the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT remains one of the top-selling cards from the previous generation. Its more affordable price point compared to the RX 9070, coupled with 16 GB of VRAM, makes it a solid choice. The verdict is clear: 8GB GPUs are quickly becoming obsolete. If that’s the case for the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, the same fate likely awaits the RX 9060 XT 8GB, RTX 5060, and RTX 5050. Another notable trend: gamers are choosing Intel Arc B570 and B580 cards over the RTX 4060 Ti—and yes, they offer more VRAM too!
