This isn’t just a temporary event; the content will become a permanent part of the latest Monster Hunter installment.
Capcom’s own fighting franchise, Street Fighter 6, is at the heart of this exciting new collaboration. Akuma, the demon of combat who has embraced the Satsui no Hado in his quest to become the ultimate master of the fist, appears in Monster Hunter Wilds. This collaboration offers a wealth of fun new features that will undoubtedly get you into the fighting spirit. Special collaboration-exclusive rewards have been added. Check out the exclusive collaboration side mission to see Akuma in action!
Claim unique collaboration rewards by completing the new side mission, Ultimate Strength, which features Akuma himself. Complete the accompanying collab arena quests—Demonic Strength and True Strength—for even more rewards. The Ultimate Strength side mission is available to hunters at HR 21 or higher. Talk to Quinn, the Vespae Unit handler at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp, to start the mission. Earn the full Akuma hunter armor set and layered set, the Blanka-Chan Palico armor and layered set, and special Street Fighter 6-themed hunter profile backgrounds, nameplates, and poses. This collaboration will be a permanent feature in the game.
Unleash your inner demon by equipping the full or layered Akuma armor sets. Equipping these sets grants access to Akuma’s signature items and gestures for his special fighting moves. Feel the excitement of Street Fighter with the reimagined Drive Impact system, exclusive to Street Fighter 6. Use the “Assisted Combo: Akuma” item command to execute a variety of combo attacks, including the Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken moves. The damage output of Akuma’s unique actions depends on your equipped main weapon. Equipping the full armor set offers a significant boost in attack power compared to the layered set, and Assisted Combos and other actions gain stun properties while the Drive Impact action gains an offset effect.
There will also be paid DLC, including Chun-Li and Cammy-themed Alma outfits, a Blanka-Chan doll pendant, a Street Fighter 6 sticker set, and attack-based gestures (Hadoken, Shoryuken, Tatsumaki Senpukyaku). Everything else mentioned earlier will be free. Both the DLC and the free update will launch on May 28.
