Dark Souls 3 release date is getting closer. Dark Souls has stepped up the pace at From Software, because after this year’s Bloodborne, another multiplatform title is being developed by the Japanese folks, who already announced the Souls’ series latest installment’s Japanese release date.

Dark Souls III will launch on March 24, 2016 in Japan on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (what’s the point of the latter version’s Japanese release, if there’s barely any interest on Microsoft’s consoles at all there?), so probably, the localized version will be launched over the spring worldwide. Although Demon’s Souls was a game, which needed no less than EIGHT months, while the first Dark Souls took barely two weeks, so it’s pretty hard to guess the date correctly…

By the way, the developers are opening a new studio in Fukuoka, and it’s already going to be established in October. The studio’s main focus will be 3D CG assets, while closely working together with the Tokio lead studio. This studio will begin work in January, so it’s unlikely that Dark Souls III will be involved with them, but maybe Bloodborne‘s expansion will be worked on there. This might be announced during the TGS. Still, what’s so far can be granted is Dark Souls 3 release date.
