While the Hitman team confirmed some time ago that the game would also launch on Nintendo Switch 2, we now finally have an official title and a release window: from here on out, it’s officially called 007 First Light.

Alongside the official name, an enigmatic image was posted — presumably of Bond himself — and the IO Interactive team confirmed they’d reveal the full game later this week, promising “never-before-seen footage” that will mark the dawn of a new era for Bond in video games. What Do We Know So Far About 007 First Light?

IO Interactive has kept many details under wraps, but we do know that the game will offer a completely fresh story centered around a younger James Bond. The developers plan to present an “origin story” that departs from the films, showing how Bond earns the iconic 007 designation.

Moreover, IO Interactive isn’t stopping at just one game: they’re already thinking about a full trilogy. “This is a new Bond. It’s a Bond we’ve built from the ground up for players — a Bond they can claim as their own and grow with,” said Hakan Abrak, the studio head, in an interview back in October 2024.
