PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium: The June Update Is Disappointing!

Additionally, Sony has already revealed the additions it plans to make to the subscription service for the first month of summer.

These additions will be included in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which offers a variety of titles to PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers: Battlefield 2042 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Endless Dungeon (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), FBC: Firebreak (PlayStation 5), Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 (PlayStation 5), theHunter: Call of the Wild (PlayStation 4), Train Sim World 5 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4).

Of these, FBC: Firebreak stands out as the new game from Remedy Entertainment. The Finnish team previously announced that the Remedy spinoff would be available to PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/PC Game Pass subscribers. Another notable game on this list is Battlefield 2042, clearly intended as a lead-up to the new Battlefield episode… but here too, Sony “cheated,” since this was previously a PlayStation Plus Essential title!

Only PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers have access to the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog. Here’s the trick. During State of Play, Sony announced five games that would be included in this selection during the summer. Even then, we suspected Sony wouldn’t add anything else, and so far, that’s exactly what’s happened: only ONE game is being added in June. The PS2 game Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. So, it’s best not to expect more than two games at this level in July and August.

It’s simply laughable. There are a total of nine games, one of which is a new release, and only one goes to the Premium category. They still can’t list the departing games on their website…
