During yesterday’s Little Nightmares Showcase, the release date for the long-awaited third installment was revealed—alongside two other projects, including a next-gen remaster and a mysterious VR experience.

Little Nightmares III Gets an October Release

Developed by Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares III is officially launching on October 10. The game is coming to nearly every modern platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the newly confirmed Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders are already live on all platforms except for Nintendo consoles.

The Standard Edition is priced at €40 ($40), which includes the Dark Six costume set and the Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition as a pre-order bonus. The Deluxe Edition, priced at €60 ($60), features the Secrets of the Spiral season pass—adding two new chapters—plus the Ferryman costume. Also included is the Residents Costume Pack, bringing back iconic characters from earlier titles: The Janitor, The Twin-Chefs, The Lady, and The Hunter. Both editions share the same pre-order bonuses.

Two limited physical editions will also be available. The Mirror Edition includes the game, Deluxe Edition content, official soundtrack, sticker sheet, a 12 cm figurine, artbook, metal case, and outer collector’s box. The ultra-premium Spiral Edition is exclusive to the Bandai Namco Entertainment Store and adds a musical base, a 22 cm Nome controller/phone stand, the Nome Embroidered Brooch, and a full Nome costume set alongside all Mirror Edition contents.

Enhanced Edition Brings Technical Upgrades

The newly announced Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition will arrive the same day—October 10—on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. It will offer 4K resolution and 60 FPS, with toggles for both Quality and Performance modes. Visual enhancements include ray-traced reflections, upgraded water physics, increased particle effects, volumetric lighting, and an improved checkpoint system. This next-gen version is being developed by Engine Software.

Mystery VR Title Still Under Wraps

The final reveal was Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes, but virtually no details were shared. We don’t know the platforms, the developer, or even the genre. A short teaser trailer is all we have to go on for now.

Bandai Namco is clearly investing heavily in the future of the Little Nightmares franchise, offering something for every kind of gamer—from collectors and platform gamers to high-end PC users and soon, possibly VR enthusiasts.
