For All Mankind Spinoff ‘Star City’ Casts Priya Kansara as Series Regular

MOVIE NEWS – Priya Kansara (Polite Society, Bridgerton) has officially joined the cast of Apple and Sony Pictures Television’s For All Mankind spinoff, Star City, taking on the series regular role of Lakshmi, a gifted scientist.

Kansara joins a stellar lineup including Rhys Ifans, Agnes O’Casey, Solly McLeod, Alice Englert, Adam Nagaitis, Josef Davies, and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis.

Star City comes from creators Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert, and Ronald D. Moore, presenting yet another twist on the space race. This time, the story unfolds behind the Iron Curtain, chronicling the lives, risks, and ambitions of the cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers working within the Soviet space program.

Wolpert and Nedivi will serve as showrunners and executive producers alongside Moore and Davis (Tall Ship Productions), as well as Steve Oster and Andrew Chambliss. Just like its parent series, For All Mankind (recently renewed for Season 5), Star City is produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television.

Kansara was most recently seen as Rage in the BBC One and Sony Pictures Television’s Dope Girls. Her prior credits include Flo in Netflix’s The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself and Miss Eaton in Season 2 of Bridgerton. On the big screen, she starred as Ria in Focus Features’ Polite Society, written and directed by Nida Manzoor. Kansara is represented by IAG.
