Battlefield 6: Is Electronic Arts’ 2025 Hopeful Getting Unveiled Soon?

Apparently, we won’t have to wait much longer for the next installment in the Battlefield franchise to be fully revealed.

According to a post from streamer Doom49, Electronic Arts’ next Battlefield game will be called Battlefield 6, and a full reveal event is planned for later this month. He posted a package allegedly sent by Electronic Arts featuring the Battlefield 6 logo. Shortly after, the post was deleted (probably due to a comment from Electronic Arts saying it shouldn’t have been posted), but an influencer of the franchise, RivalxFactor, claimed the package was sent before the full reveal event.

The event is reportedly scheduled for July 29 and will feature a Battlefield 6 reveal, interviews with developers, and a presentation with content creators. Some streamers will get a direct glimpse of a return to Battlefield 3 and 4. Electronic Arts has admitted that they want to return to the peak of the franchise, which was indeed with Battlefield 3 and 4. However, that was over a decade ago.

Electronic Arts has confirmed that the next Battlefield game will be released by the end of March 2026 at the latest, with a full public unveiling scheduled for this summer. Battlefield 6 has been in closed testing (Battlefield Labs) since March. Despite users being sworn to secrecy, a significant amount of footage of the game has leaked, some of which we have reported on previously.

After the community was significantly disappointed with the previous installment in the franchise, Battlefield 2042, Electronic Arts is taking a more transparent approach to the development of the next Battlefield. Electronic Arts’ four internal studios, collectively referred to as Battlefield Studios, will build a cohesive universe set in the modern era. Battlefield 6 is expected to launch this fall for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. We don’t see much chance of a Nintendo Switch 2 port.
