Bruce Willis No Longer Remembers He Was a Movie Star – But That’s Not Even the Worst Change

MOVIE NEWS – Bruce Willis’ condition has sadly deteriorated to the point that he no longer recognizes that he was once a world-famous actor. Struggling with frontotemporal dementia, Willis is now unable to read, speak, or walk, and has completely forgotten his life as a Hollywood legend. His family, including wife Emma Heming Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore, have made it their mission to raise awareness about the cruel reality of this disease. Ironically, Willis’s real-life ordeal tragically echoes his iconic role as Malcolm Crowe in The Sixth Sense – a man unaware of his own fate.

Multiple recent reports confirm that Bruce Willis can no longer remember he was once a celebrated film star, as his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) has advanced. FTD is a group of conditions that attack the parts of the brain responsible for personality, behavior, and language. Sources state that Willis has lost the ability to read, speak, and walk, as his condition has rapidly worsened. The actor retired from his career in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a communication disorder and a known symptom of FTD. Willis’ family – notably Emma Heming Willis and former spouse Demi Moore – have been vocal about his condition, hoping to bring more attention to the impact of FTD.

Willis is renowned for his roles in the Die Hard series, Pulp Fiction, Unbreakable, and The Sixth Sense. Strikingly, his real-life struggles now mirror those of Malcolm Crowe, his character in The Sixth Sense: while Crowe’s confusion was supernatural, Willis faces a devastating cognitive disconnect that leaves him unaware of his own identity due to a merciless disease.
