Microsoft Is Soaring, According to Its CEO, While Talking About Layoffs!

In an internal letter, Satya Nadella used double standards that do not paint the Redmond tech giant in a favorable light…

According to Nadella, Microsoft is thriving despite the fact that thousands of employees have recently left the company due to layoffs. In a letter to Microsoft employees, Nadella finally addressed the layoffs. He stated that the layoffs offer the company an opportunity to innovate, lead, and have a greater impact than ever before. Nadella also highlighted Microsoft’s ambitions in the field of AI, an area in which the company has reportedly invested billions of dollars. Microsoft considers AI to be the next battleground to win in the digital world, following Google’s dominance in search and video services.

“By every objective measure, Microsoft is thriving—our market performance, strategic positioning, and growth all point up and to the right. We’re investing more in capital expenditures than ever before. Our overall headcount is relatively unchanged, and some of the talent and expertise in our industry and at Microsoft is being recognized and rewarded at unprecedented levels. And yet, at the same time, we’ve had layoffs. Just imagine if all eight billion people could access a researcher, analyst, or coding agent at their fingertips—not just to get information, but to leverage their expertise and get things done that benefit them. Consider how organizations empowered with AI could unlock entirely new levels of agility and innovation by transforming decision-making, streamlining operations, and enabling every team to achieve more together than ever before,” Nadella wrote.

At the beginning of July, at the start of the new fiscal year, Microsoft announced that it would lay off more than 9,000 employees. Within its gaming division, the Perfect Dark reboot was canceled and The Initiative was closed. At Rare, Everwild was canceled, and several senior developers left the studio. Matt Firor, head of ZeniMax Online Studios, also announced his departure due to the cancellation of Project Blackbird, a project that had been in development for a long time.

So, Nadella’s statement is a little hard to comprehend…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
