Nintendo could probably come up with shorter names—this one is a mouthful. Kirby returns in an upgraded 3D adventure, exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, with a new story, enhanced graphics, and plenty of fresh features for solo and co-op play.

Join Kirby and friends in an enhanced version of the beloved Kirby and the Forgotten Land 3D platformer. This Switch 2-exclusive upgrade features a completely new story that can be played solo or in local co-op. The new Star-Crossed World campaign introduces a meteor crash that brings impending evil to the Forgotten Land. To stop it, Kirby must collect Starries—star fragments scattered across the world—while discovering new locations and overcoming unique challenges. Finish the Natural Plains from the original game to unlock Star-Crossed World content and Starry Stages.

The meteor’s impact has reshaped familiar landscapes, opening up new paths and previously unreachable zones—climb building rooftops or explore the ocean floor. Rescue Starries in each level to progress, but beware: the Beast Pack is now tougher, and new foes will stand in your way. There are also three new Mouthful Modes—High Jump to reach tall ledges, Spring Mouth for smashing objects, Gear Mouth to scale walls, and Sign Mouth for sliding, leaping, and spinning attacks. Collect Starry Coins to buy new figures from Astronomer Waddle Dee, or take on the Ultimate Cup Z EX in the Colosseum for a brutal boss rush.

Enjoy improved graphics and smoother frame rates throughout both the original adventure and the Star-Crossed World expansion, thanks to the Switch 2’s upgraded hardware. Players who own the original game can purchase the upgrade pack to unlock all the new features on Nintendo Switch 2.
